Unfortunately, new vulnerabilities, Dirty Frag (https://github.com/V4bel/dirtyfrag) and Fragnesia (https://github.com/v12-security/pocs/tree/main/fragnesia), have been identified.
HPC Center's system administrators have applied mitigation measures and updates across UT HPC cloud services.
IMPORTANT to all Linux virtual machine (VM) administrators: Applying the necessary security measures on your own VM-s remains essential. Living UT HPC Center's guidance is available in our documentation page: https://docs.hpc.ut.ee/public/security/dirtyfrag/#blacklisting-and-removing-vulnerable-modules;
https://docs.hpc.ut.ee/public/security/fragnesia/#blacklisting-and-removing-vulnerable-modules-same-mitigation-as-dirty-frag
Please note: users relying on kernel-based IPsec VPN/tunnel connections cannot establish an IPsec connection until the official patch is released.
